MIDTERM KESHO

• The Midterm will be a short exam (50 min). It will cover the following topics.

1. Shida - chapters (1) and (2). Make sure you can answer the questions in your guiding handout.
2. You will write at least one short essay.
3. There will be a section where you will be required to correct ungrammatical Swahili sentences. This will be a collection of mistakes that you make during your daily presentations. We always correct them together.
4. Vocabulary - you will be asked to use certain words/phrases in a sentence (e.g. -starehesha, shukrani ya punda etc).
5. Sarufi - you must understand how the stative marker (http://mwanasimba.online.fr/E_Chap41.htm) and class 15 noun class - ku (http://mwanasimba.online.fr/E_Chap03.htm)
6. This also means that I can ask you anything I assume that you MUST know at this stage e.g. anything that was covered in Hinnebusch and last semester (e.g. passives, http://mwanasimba.online.fr/E_Chap37.htm- applicatives -http://mwanasimba.online.fr/E_Chap38.htm etc).
